As a sophomore at Michigan State University, the idea to build a construction company called Four South Group was planted in David’s mind. That inspiration sparked a 20-year journey to explore his heart for customer service and his mind for creating in three dimensions. Great people giving great customer service was the common thread of David’s undergraduate studies in Building Construction Management, Human Resources and Hospitality Business. He realized regardless of the industry, understanding and exceeding expectations is foundational to the success of any organization. He was determined to learn about customer service from the team that knew it best – the Walt Disney Company. After two internships at Walt Disney World in Florida, he returned after graduation and took a role as Guest Service Manager. That experience taught him some of the most influential lessons of his career and underscored the importance of extensive training and continuous improvement.
With a strong desire to immerse himself in the homebuilding industry, David moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, which at the time was experiencing an unprecedented rate of growth. Over the next 15 years, he accumulated a broad knowledge base working with David Weekley Homes, a national homebuilder, True Homes, a regional homebuilder, and Miller Classic Homes, a local custom builder. Each of those opportunities taught David a new discipline within the industry and expanded his experience to include all aspects of development, sales, and construction. Armed with a broad base of experience and strong relationships with local municipalities, suppliers, and contractors, David took a leap of faith and made Four South Group a reality. Together with his wife Charlotte they used their unique skill sets to create a customer centric full service real estate solution provider for individuals, homebuilders, developers, and investors.

Growing up outside Charleston, South Carolina, Charlotte enjoyed an adventure filled childhood full of helping build her family homestead and spending endless hours exploring the ever-changing life of her grandparent’s farm. Those early experiences instilled a deep sense of responsibility to do her best with what she had, always leave a place better than she found it and to appreciate all the opportunities that crossed her path. After graduating cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a degree in Marketing and Human Resource Management, she moved to the Charlotte area as a business analyst for a technology startup. Shortly thereafter Charlotte found herself changing course and started a new career in the quickly growing homebuilding industry. Holding positions in Marketing with David Weekley Homes, Membership Services with the Home Builders Association and as an Account Executive for the New Home Guide, Charlotte could sharpen her focus and blend her talents with what she enjoyed most… providing opportunities for families to make memories and for companies to make authentic connections.
With that experience in hand, she signed on with Clear Springs Development as the Activities and Communications Director for Baxter Village. This position afforded Charlotte the opportunity to pull together her background in marketing, communications, event management and sponsorship development to create an impressive blend of events that allowed local businesses and families to connect in a way that promoted a shared sense of purpose and community. The experience and the strong relationships formed throughout Charlotte’s career have led to a passion for her community and a unique skill set that brings added value to all her endeavors.
